Accommodation in Pasym

The city is located by the Kalwa lake. It was founded by the Teutonic Order - Pasym is a city located on the historical Masuria.

Particular attention is drawn to the massive late Gothic church from the 15th century (from the 16th century to today - Evangelical) with a clearly marked defensive character (Jedności Słowiańskiej street 3). Inside, many valuable monuments have survived: gothic stalls, the main altar from the 17th century, a candle holder in the shape of a deer's head from the 17th century, organs made in the 18th century in the workshop of Jahann Josen Mosengela in Königsberg and numerous epitaphs. In the temple, we will also see galleries characteristic of evangelical churches.

In February 1807 Napoleon Bonaparte was stationed at the presbytery of the church. The current Catholic church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Barczewskiego Street 2) was erected in the 19th century on the site where the Teutonic castle was probably used to be. In turn, the Pasym town hall is a building from the 19th century built in the Neo-Renaissance style (Rynek 8 street). The charm of Pasymia is created by the preserved old urban layout with charming short streets built up with historic houses and tenement houses. The remains of the medieval city walls have also been preserved. In the city park, we can see the water tower from 1911. In Pasym, on Lake Kalwa, the film "Miraculously saved" (2004) with Marian Opania in the main role, recording the times of the 1960s in Masuria was recorded.
