One of the most famous monuments of Karpacz is the Wang Temple - an unusual object that was created in Norway at the turn of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. When the King of Prussia Frederick IV purchased it from the Vikings in the 19th century, he wanted to put it in Berlin. However, when he gave up this idea, after the efforts of Fryderka von Reden, he was transferred to the Karkonosze. This building was dismantled in part and shipped to Szczecin, then to Berlin, where it was followed by Odra boats and then by horse-drawn carts to Karpacz.
Being in Karpacz you have to visit the Museum of Toys aswel as amusment park "Park Bajek" and Western City. On the main street Konstytucji 3 Maja, there is the Conquerors' Square, on which bronze prints of shoes and crampons of famous Polish climbers are cast in bronze, including: Wanda Rutkiewicz, Maciej Berbeka or Jerzy Kukuczka.
