In the years 1832-1840 the owners of this magnificent building were Eve and Joseph Chrapkiewiczowie later landrat Beneckendorf Hans Otto (1840-1847), a district surgeon Joann Lomp Heinrich (1847-1850), chemist Ludwig Freytag (1850-1854). In the years 1854-1893 the building belonged to the Board of the New Town Lubavian, and in 1893 to the District Lubavian. By 1975, it housed the headquarters of the County Lubavian, but immediately after the war (since 1948) - the County Nowomiejskiego. Since 1975 to this day it is the seat of the Municipal Office. Since the end of World War II in turn managed the city mayors: Felix Mountain (1945), John Grześkiewicz (1945-1946), Edmund Śmierniak (1946-1948), Konrad Graczyk (1948-1950), Jed John (1990-1994).
