It is one of the largest and best preserved in Europe wetlands of this type, i.e. lowland, marshy river valleys. The Biebrza Valley has preserved its natural character with an extremely rich world of plants and animals. Here, for centuries, man lives in harmony with the rhythm of the river, respecting its right to spring (as well as autumn-winter) floods.

The Biebrza National Park is attractive at any time of the year - during the spring explosion of bird life; in the summer, when swamps and forests delight with the beauty of wild vegetation; in the autumn, during the mating tournaments of elks and deer; in the winter, where meeting with moose is almost one hundred percent sure. The BbPN area is also very interesting due to the culture, history, folk handicrafts and culinary (Biebrza) flavors.

Tourists are invited to the Tourist Information Center in the Education and Provision of the Biebrza National Park in the Osowiec-Twierdza, open daily from 8.00 am to 17.00 from April 20 to September 10, in the remaining period from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 15.30.

On the spot, you can visit a new exhibition, purchase admission cards, maps, souvenirs and publications and plan your stay with the help of our employees or guides with permits to conduct guide services.

For land tourists, we provide: 127 km of hiking trails, 104 km of bicycle routes, horse trail, 13 educational paths and 4 running lanes. 7 routes with a length of 214 kilometers have been made available for water tourism. At the trails we have built 19 lookout towers, 15 viewing platforms, 13 tourist halls, 31 tourist shelters and 8 tourist footbridges with a length of almost 5 kilometers.
