Description
From the treasures of the sunken desert, through the panorama of medieval Europe and Old Polish artists to Botticelli, Cranach, Matejko, Chełmoński and Boznańska, from sacred art to feminist Consumption Art of Natalia LL ... The most important works from the collection of over 830 thousand objects, as well as masterpieces from around the world on temporary exhibitions, they are presented in a modernist building in the center of Warsaw.
Permanent MNW galleries
Faras Gallery Professor Kazimierz Michałowski is the only exhibition in Europe of early Christian Nubian painting. Treasures of civilization from one thousand five hundred years are accompanied by multimedia, including film in 3D technology.
The Medieval Art Gallery is the richest collection of masterpieces in Central Europe, mainly from the late Middle Ages (XIV-XVI century).
The Early Art Gallery is a unique combination of European and Old Polish artistic handicrafts, paintings and sculptures from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century.
The 19th Century Art Gallery presents the works of Polish artists in the context of masterpieces of European art.
The XX and XXI Century Art Gallery is the only such a rich and varied presentation of the work of contemporary artists in Warsaw.
The Polish Design Gallery presents the most important phenomena in Polish design from the beginning of the 20th century to modern times.
