The Society was created by people interested in railways for years and people professionally connected with rail transport. We have a license for rail transport of persons and goods and a safety certificate for the infrastructure manager and railway carrier. Despite this, we are not an ordinary company - the Society runs the railway on a non-profit basis, and all funds obtained from the sale of tickets are spent on the maintenance and repairs of the historic railway! We invite all those who are eager to help us to keep the technology monument alive!

The narrow-gauge railway with a track width of 750 mm, was built in Żuławy since 1891. The railway used to connect Gdańsk and Malbork (a narrow-gauge express train was running here). In 1974, the so-called The left-bank railway, and in 1996, no train traffic was stopped on the narrow-gauge Żuławy lines. Locomotives and wagons were cut into scrap metal or taken to other railways. There was not a single vehicle left, there was no turntable in front of the locomotive, and the workshop and station were abandoned and devastated.

Thanks to the cooperation of the Sztutowo commune, the Stegna commune, the Nowy Dwór Gdański commune, the Nowodworski District and the Pomeranian Railway Lovers Society, the vehicles have been able to download and launch vehicles, complete the missing infrastructure and resume the running of passenger trains. Since 2003, Żuławska Kolej Dojazdowa trains run daily during the summer school holidays and on selected weekends throughout the year. Today, more than a hundred year old lines of Prada Brzeg Wisły - Stegna - Sztutowo and Stegna - Nowy Dwór Gdański and a fragment of the line connecting Nowy Dwór Gdański with a suburban cemetery are open. They total about 36 km of track. The only gem in the world is the only active narrow-gauge rotating bridge in Rybin, which until today is rotated in accordance with the art of 1906. In 2018, our railway runs on dates:

• according to the spring timetable: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 31 May and 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 June
• according to the summer timetable: every day from June 23 to September 1
