Description
Its aim is to present in an accessible, modern form a broad cultural spectrum related to fishing, symbolism of the fish and the culture of fishing and lake exploitation in Poland. The substantive background of the exhibition is the scientific and practical achievements of Mr. Henry, ichthyologist and long-time president of the Fish Farm in Łysinin.
Visiting the Museum is an interactive journey through the world of lakes and history, which we start by looking into the house of a nineteenth century fisherman, getting to know his family and participate in preparing for a meal.
The exhibition is divided into smoothly moving thematic sectors, bringing key issues in a visually and sonically attractive way. Visitors will become acquainted, among others, with the main fishing techniques and technologies, species and morphology of freshwater fish, characteristics of the flora and fauna of Polish lakes and the secrets of the popular fishing art.
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to go on a cruise with an old fisherman and listen to his tales, get acquainted with the 50-year history of the Fisherman's Farm in Łysinin and see a private collection of collections of Mr. Henryk Sobolewski.
Outside the museum there is an extraordinary, giant labyrinth of fishing nets that will provide an extraordinary experience for both children and adults.
