In the Wozownia gallery, we present contemporary art: both works of recognized artists - Polish and foreign - as well as creators who are only at the beginning of their careers. We focus on the experiment, we challenge established canons and, above all, promote talents. This is what makes us occupy a distinct and significant place on the local art scene. As an institution with a rich tradition (the gallery has existed since 1950), we have also established itself on a national scale.

Our headquarters is a historic building of the former Prussian warehouse of artillery vehicles, located in the Torun Old Town - at the Monastery Gate, near the Old Town Hall, the Copernicus House and the Leaning Tower.

Our activity is focused primarily on the organization of exhibitions - there are around 25 a year. The coach house is a forum for discussion about the present day, and the gallery's program line is based on the presentation of art engaged in reality. We cooperate with other museums and galleries, together with research centers we implement interdisciplinary projects we are also involved in international cooperatives.

Among the most important artists who have shown their works in recent years, they found, among others, Anna Baumgart, Jan Berdyszak, Izabella Gustowska, Ewa Kuryluk and Natalia LL. We also recalled personalities extremely important for Polish art history (including Wojciech Bruszewski, Artur Nacht-Samborski, Henryk Tomaszewski) and shaping the local artistic environment of Toruń (Adolf Ryszka or Michał Kokot).

In addition to exhibitions, we also carry out cyclical projects, such as PERSONA - presentations of the works of outstanding contemporary designers, organized in cooperation with the Poster Gallery and Design of the National Museum in Poznań; International Triennial "Color in graphic art" - an event dedicated to the creativity of graphic designers who are particularly sensitive to the color theme; or Triennial of Small Painting Forms - a competition and exhibition accompanying it, the aim of which is to present current trends in painting.

The coach house is also a place for meetings, discussions or workshops. We would like to invite both theoreticians and practitioners who present the problems of modern building and urban planning to give lectures as part of the Architecture series in the coach house. In turn, issues related to design are discussed at meetings that take place under the slogan 'Project for ...' Their aim is to draw attention to the fact that design is an area present in our everyday life. We regularly organize other thematic lectures, promotions of artistic publications and lectures of eminent figures of the Polish humanities - we have already visited Monika Bakke, René Block, Ewa Domańska, Agata Jakubowska, Luiza Nader, Piotr Piotrowski, Ewa Toniak and Andrzej Turowski.

We also do not forget about children and youth - the art of simplicity looks for them, always taking place in relation to currently presented exhibitions.
