Description

Wystawy znajdują się w zabytkowym budynku z przełomu XVIII i XIX wieku, w którymi przez lata znajdował się magazyn zbiorów.

Obecnie prezentowane są tam wystawy Kultura Mazowsza w ludowej wizji świata, Sztuka Dalekiego Wschodu. Płockie skarby buddyjskiej Azji oraz Bolesław Biegas, rzeźba i malarstwo.

Pierwsza z nich prezentuje eksponaty dotyczące kultury ludowej Mazowsza, takie jak stroje ludowe, tkaniny, rzeźby, ceramikę czy wycinanki ludowe.

Druga wystawa prezentuje sztukę orientalną, w skład której wchodzą elementy dekoracyjne, militaria, malarstwo, grafika, buddyjska sztuka sakralna oraz monety.

Trzecia wystawa dotyczy rzeźby i malarstwa Bolesława. Podziwiać tu można 40 gipsowych rzeźb, 3 rzeźby wykonane w brązie oraz 13 obrazów i oryginalnej tkaniny z ornamentem zaprojektowanych przez Biegasa.

Płock is an interesting historical city located in the Masovian region. It is located on the steep, high bank of the Vistula, in the Płock Basin, between Warsaw and Włocławek. Płock is one of the oldest cities in Poland, and many monuments preserved here are a testimony of its thousand-year history.

Tourists deserve the attention of the local architecture. The city's attractiveness is largely influenced by the high Vistula bank, which is a huge natural asset of the city. While staying in Płock, every tourist should direct to the Old Market Square, which adorns the beautiful town hall, made in the classical style. In the old town, there is also the cathedral in Mariawa, whose walls were erected before the First World War.

In Płock there is also the Drama Theater named after Jerzy Szaniawski, amphitheater, Płock Symphony Orchestra Witold Lutosławski. When visiting this place, it is also worth visiting the Diocesan Museum, the Museum of the Małachivka, the Mazovian Museum, the Museum of St. Faustyna, as well as the Museum of Mazovian Jews.
