Multimedia Museum of the camp Stalag IB and the history of Olsztynek

In the museum in Olsztyn we will see an exhibition commemorating the victims of the second largest prisoner camp Stalag Hohenstein in East Prussia, functioning in nearby Królików in 1939-1945. The facility also presents the history of World War I and its effects in the region, with particular emphasis on the Hindenburg mausoleum Tannenberg-Denkmal. One of the exhibitions is devoted to the history of Olsztynek and the tourist attractions of the immediate area. In 2016, the Museum of the POW camp Stalag IB and the history of Olsztynek was recognized by the readers of the kulturaonline.pl website for the best multimedia museum in Poland.

Artistic Glassworks in Olsztynek

In the Glassworks Artery in Olsztynek you can see how real glass wonders are made. Huta conducts theoretical classes and demonstrations of manual production of glass decorations that make a real impression. Here, utility glass, decorative glass, custom-made gifts are made. Huta and the gallery can be visited daily from 09:00 to 14:30, Monday to Saturday inclusive.
