Bison in natural conditions lived here until the 17th century. The kings of the Forest returned to the forests of northern Masuria in the 1950s. Currently, about 90 bison live in the Borecka Forest. To be able to observe them from close up, a show homestead was established in Wolisko.

There is a viewing platform here that allows you to view these handsome animals. From time to time, weaker species are allowed to hunt - hunters from all over Europe come to hunt, in February 2004 a bison in the Borecka Forest was shot by the king of Spain - Juan Carlos.
