Description
The unique location, wonderful microclimate and over 100-year-old forest attracts many city residents and tourists. The park borders the oldest athletic stadium one of the few in Poland located in the forest, founded in 1920. The world record fell twice on the object. It happened for the first time in the interwar period.
Helut Hirschfeld set the world record in a shot put on August 5, 1960, during the athletics championship of Poland, a result of 17.03 m. The record in the triple world was established by Józef Szmidt. In 1970. A Poland-Switzerland athletics match was played here
The Forest Rope Park is a place where sport and recreation, educational and healthy lifestyle goals are implemented. It is integrated into the cultural and natural landscape of the City Forest, complementing the educational and tourist offer of Olsztyn. One of the attractions of the Park is the long Tyrolean descent over the Leśny Stadium with a total of 333m (2 exits) at an altitude of 18m and a descent over the 123m road.
The Forest Rope Park consists of four routes: easy - for children, medium - for youth, difficult - due to the height of belaying recommended to higher people and a new extreme route.
The Forest Rope Park includes four routes, which are divided into smaller ones:
- routes for children consisting of 18 obstacles,
- routes for adolescents and adults consisting of 24 obstacles (including entry to the track and descent),
- route difficult for adults consisting of 25 obstacles (along with entering the track and descent),
- a downhill route over the Leśny Stadium consisting of 4 obstacles and two Tyrolean downhill rides, 333 meters long,
- two training routes available from the ground,
- an extreme route consisting of 16 obstacles,
- downhill route over 123 meters.
There is also a GOPRO camcorder recording service in the Forest Rope Park.
