Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and Saint Paweł in Poznan
60-101 Poznań
Description
Not because there is a substantial decor, which is not in other such places (although it is amazing). Only because it is in its vaults we can see the places where the first rulers of our country rested. It is here that the prince of Mieszko I, King Bolesław I Chrobry, King Mieszko II, Kazimierz Odnowiciel, Odon Mieszkowic, Władysław Odonica, Przemysł I, Bolesław Pobożny and King Przemysł I were buried in the distant centuries.
Once you get out of the underground, do not forget about the Golden Chapel, otherwise known as the Chapel of Polish Kings, which is located in the axis of the Basilica where there used to be a medieval chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Although we can only see it through a solidly carved trellis, I am sure that it will make an amazing impression on you, it did not put us in the memory.
