Description

PGE Giganty Mocy is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the Lodz region, not only for families with children.

The exhibition is an interactive education center that presents in a multimedia way the process of generating electricity using brown coal, mined and processed by Bełchatów giants of power, ie brown coal mine and conventional power plant.

The exhibition is addressed to children from kindergartens, primary and secondary school students, as well as families with children.

The idea of the exhibition is to show through play the scientific, natural and technical aspects of the formation and extraction of lignite and converting it into electricity.

Visitors to the exhibition conduct experiments in the field of physics and electricity phenomena. They walk on the seabed and visit the rain forest, learning about the individual phases of lignite formation. Visitors experiment in the generator responsible for generating electricity, control the process of energy production and admire the remains of mammoth, once living in the area of today's brown coal mine in Bełchatów. They can also take part in a variety of educational workshops, which are a perfect complement to the knowledge acquired at school.

The exhibition of PGE Giganty Moc in an interactive way also shows the history of the creation of the Bełchatów mine and power plant, as well as the latest history of Bełchatów, shown in the context of the Bełchatów mining and power industry.

After the exhibition, located on two floors of the building, a multimedia family of Gigusii Brown is shown, including the curious world of Woltuś, friendly and sociable Jula, and the obliging and all-knowing prof. Ohm.

Thanks to the visit at PGE Gigants of Power, our visitors will remember and understand issues in the field of exact sciences, including geography and geology, biology, paleontology, chemistry and physics.

Permanent exhibitions are accompanied by temporary exhibitions, thematically related to the ecological aspects of the Lodz Region.

PGE Giganty Mocas is a permanent exhibition of the Municipal Cultural Center in Bełchatów - a cultural institution, which is a self-governing organizational unit of the City of Bełchatów.

The activity of PGE Gigants Force was appreciated by the Polish Tourist Organization, which granted the status of the Tourist Product of the Year 2015, as well as by the Minister of Infrastructure and Development, which awarded the exhibition the title of the most family-friendly place in the Polish national competition "Poland is Beautiful - 7 Wonders of European Funds" 2015.
